Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism Achieves Charity Status to Further Expand Opportunities for Black Canadians

TORONTO, November 8, 2022 – The Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism is on a mission to improve the well-being and personal development of the Black community in Canada. To further enhance the efforts and expand reach, the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism has gone through a process to achieve charity status and is pleased to announce that we are now a registered charity.



Since the launch of the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism in June 2020, the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism has been the driving force in holding public lectures, summits, conferences, seminars, and presentations on topics related to systemic racism affecting Black Canadians.


“Our focus is on enabling our donors and other supporters to create conditions for success for Black Canadians, utilizing the United Nations universal declaration of human rights and other domestic human rights laws and international treaties” says Dahabo Ahmed-Omer, Executive Director of the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism.


The Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism achieving charity status allows the organization to build sustainability through charitable giving and trust within the community.


This administrative change will enhance our education, scholarships, bursaries, counselling, mentorship, reports, and research, protecting and preserving significant heritage sites and property efforts. The work done for Black Canadians will, by extension, have a positive impact on other BIPOC communities.
