Providing Scholarships and Bursaries

The Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism intends to offer scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial assistance (collectively, “Scholarships”) directly to advance education, particularly to advance post-secondary education in the study of law, sociology, political science, economics or other fields relevant to the promotion and protection of human rights and to combat and prevent systemic racism affecting Black Canadians.

We as the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism’s directors, or an advisory committee created by us will review all applications to ensure that potential recipients meet the selection criteria. Candidates will be ranked for selection based on four or more of the following:

  • academic merit and personal achievement;
  • future goals;
  • personal circumstances; and
  • demonstrated financial need.
